FIT For Charity Run 2018 Preparations Commence & Call for New Volunteers!
Preparations for FIT For Charity Run 2018 are officially underway with members of the FIT Organising Committee Meeting (OCM) holding their kickoff meeting on April 18th, 2018. Continuing from last year, FIT For Charity will work on creating a stable framework that allows sponsors, supporters, charity organisations, volunteers, and runners to unite as one and to create an environment where all participants can contribute and have fun at the same time.
The OCM is formed each April and meets once a month to plan and prepare for the annual event, FIT For Charity Run. The Committee is composed of seven teams - Logistics, Sponsorship, Donors, Communications, Charities, Risk and Finance. Volunteers from various companies within the financial industry run and manage each team.
With over 6,000 participants and volunteers, hosting FIT For Charity Run requires a broad range of preparations, such as charity selection, public relations, corporate sponsor relationships, and event logistics.
