Child Abuse Prevention Month Poster published by FIT 2017 Beneficiary NPO Pulusualuha

2018/10/27

NPO Pulusualuha, which supports parents struggling with mental illness and their children, has created a Child Abuse Prevention poster to spread awareness in Tokyo.

Ms. Chiaki Hosoo, a psychiatric nurse and illustrator of NPO Pulusualuha, designed the poster to convey the message of everyone, including the community and the society, in supporting children’s growth. Orange, the symbol color of child abuse prevention, is used throughout the soft colored poster.

NPO Pulusualuha aims to build a society where children in various circumstances can receive support from adults, and can live in peace and with hope.
They also offer activities to raise awareness to encourage society to highlight the challenges surrounding these children, and to show adults who are near these children, specific actions on how they can help.

The poster also demonstrates a small action that anyone can do. It is something that we hope every adult who is near children will keep in mind and be aware of.

The poster will be displayed in Toei Buses, Toei Subways, the Nippori-Toneri Liner, the Tokyo Child Guidance Office, and ward offices in Tokyo, just in time for Child Abuse Prevention Month in November.
